CES 2023: Heraeus Epurio and AI SILK reveal ultra-light Haptic Metaverse Glove made with conductive fibers, rendering bulky remotes obsolete
Las Vegas, 5-8 January 2023. Heraeus Epurio, the world leader in conductive polymer material innovations, and AI SILK, a Japanese wearable-tech startup that has developed the proprietary and patented conductive fiber LEAD SKIN®, unveil the Haptic Metaverse Glove with no mechanical parts attached, that doubles as sensors and an AR/VR/XR controller. Made from AI SILK’s proprietary conductive fiber, LEAD SKIN®, Haptic Metaverse Glove powered by LEAD SKIN® features built-in finger-bending sensors, as well as control buttons on the back of the wearer’s hand, all of which are also made of the same conductive fiber. Providing wearers tactile feedback when they “touch” metaverse objects, the ultra-lightweight glove enables users to enjoy a truly immersive metaverse experience without having to hold a bulky remote control.
